Fun Quiz and Giveaway Reminders!!

Don't forget to check out this cute quiz! I think my results are pretty dead on! Hehe
What Kind of Makeup Fashionista Are You??

My Results!

You're a Classic Makeup Fashionista
You enjoy wearing makeup and the way it makes you feel. You know exactly what colors work for you and on special occasions you like to try the latest trends or go a bit more dramatic. You revel in your femininity and enjoy putting time and effort into your look. For everyday makeup, keep the focus on your eyes with shimmery sheer washes of color and flirty, defined lashes. For a night out try a retro pin-up girl look (it's hot right now and easy to do). First line eyes with a fine line of deep black liner (try MAX Factor's MAXeye Liner in Night Club). Next, dust a peachy-pink blush on your cheeks and finish with red lipstick (try MAX Factor Vivid Impact Lipcolor in Ms. Right, a classic red shade). Slide on your kitten heels and you're good to go.

Bottom line: Indulge your love of all things feminine and don’t be afraid to say no to some of the wackier makeup trends. Sticking to what you know can be a very good thing.

Giveaway Reminders!!!
Also, please please don't forget to enter both of the great A Little More Beautiful giveaway!!! All you have to do is leave a comment with your first name and e-mail address-That's it! An Easy Way to the Perfect French Manicure

You know I like to inform you of good ideas and products I think will help people look their best. Well, The french manicure is easily one of the most popular nail looks and has been for quite some time now! It's classic, sophisticated and gorgeous! Well, with the economy the way it is these day it might be a bit harder for us all to make our weekly or bi-weekly nail appointments. But doing a french manicure on our own can be super tricky and time consuming. Well, here is a great solution! Perfect Formulas has created "The Perfect Manicure Kit".

Here's Some Product Info:
The unique French tip wand makes it easy to apply the perfect white tip every time, while the water-based white formulation is correctable with water until it is sealed. That means quick corrections can be made without removing your base color.

In addition, the Bright Base Coat instantly gives nails a natural healthy look thanks to an optical brightener which brightens the whites of the nails, while filtering out any yellow tones. Pair this with the magical results of the wand and the Sealer Coat which produces a dazzling high-gloss finish and et voilà! – a flawless French manicure, no high-priced salon necessary!

Step 1 - Paint one coat of Bright Base Coat on your entire nails, let dry 2 minutes

Step 2 - Use the White Wand to paint the tip of the nail.
Place the applicator on one edge of the white of your nail. Move the applicator from one edge of the nail white to the other in one smooth motion.

Let it dry for 2 minutes
The white paint can be removed with water if you wish to make a correction. It is okay if the white appears streaky or not smooth, the Step 3 sealer will fix it.

Step 3 - Paint one coat of the Sealer Coat over the entire nail. Let dry.

For Just $27.50, it's a good way to keep your nails looking great without spending a fortune. Check out this kit at their site HERE.

Silver/Grey/Smokey Look

This is a fun, wearable look for a night out or a special day! I decided to practice a look for my Birthday celebration and this is what I came up with. I hope you like it!

What I used:
-MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
-Coastal Scents Gel Liner in Platinum (On the lid blended up into crease in a rounded shape. I also lined my lower waterline with Platinum and the inner corners of my eyes.)
-MAC Eyeshadow in Knight Divine (In the crease and blended out into the outer v)
-MAC Eyeshadow in Vanilla (As a highlight under the brow and along the brow bone)
-MAC Fluidline in Black Track (On Upper and lower lashline)
-Lancome Defincils Mascara (Two Coats)

I also finished off the look with a light pink lipstick (MAC Lipstick in Snob) and clear gloss over it. I had a tough time getting a decent picture where my ares weren't red because I only got one hour of sleep last night! Ahh! Anyway, I really hope you like the look, feel free to send any requests, comments, questions to me at

Don't forget to enter both the contests going on right now! The links are at the top right of the page. It's really simple and fast! Be sure to subscribe or follow A Little More Beautiful so you always know what's going on. They'll be more giveaways and lots of exciting things to come!

7 Deadly Skin Sins!
Seven Deadly Skin Sins

Want gorgeous skin? Start by making sure you don't commit any of these skin-damaging crimes

We hate to get preachy on you, but if you want your skin to look great well into your 80s, you'll follow this advice, courtesy of dermatologists and skin care experts. When asked what the worst possible things for our skin are, these topped their lists. So now, repeat after us, "thou shalt not"...

See sins

Get the Most From Your Favorite Fragrances

(Above Photo: Pretty by Elizabeth Arden. One of my personal favorite fragrances!)

Most women have a fragrance that they absolutely love and if we don't already have one, we're forever searching for that perfect scent! When we do find that fragrance that was practically made for us, an issue some of us have is how to make the scent last? Well, here are a few tips and tricks for all things fragrance!

Tip #1: If your friend has a great perfume, don't just assume it will smell as great on you. Always try before you buy! Fragrances always smell a little different on everyone so what may work for you won't necessarily work for your friend and vice versa. When shopping for that perfect perfume, just spritz one you like (preferably love!) on your wrists and neck, wear it around for a couple of hours. Still love it? Great!

Tip #2: When trying out fragrances, don't go overboard. Just try one or two on your skin, otherwise the scents will get muddled and you won't have a true sense of how each wears throughout the day.

Tip #3: So you have the perfect scent for you? Fantastic! Now the only problem you may run into is to make it last. The trick to having a long lasting perfume is to layer scents. Most popular perfumes also have a shower gel, lotion, or even shampoo in the same scent. Using them together may sound like it'd be overpowering but in truth, it just helps your favorite scent stick around all day.

Tip #4: Apply Perfume to your pulse points-neck, wrists, inside of your elbows, and behind your knees. The heat of your body will help diffuse the scent throughout the day. Spritzing the scent in the air and walking through it is a quick and easy way to smell great, although it might cut down the wear time of your perfume.

Tip #5: Get a roll-on or small version of your favorite scent to keep in your purse for touch ups on the go.

These tips will hopefully provide you with some little tidbits you didn't know and will hopefully be helpful for you in your quest to finding a great fragrance and make it last all day (or night;-) long.
