Beauty Obsession: June Jacobs Lip Kit

Yes, I know! I have alot of beauty obsessions-too many to count, lol! But with the cold weather coming on, I thought I'd share one of the absolute greatest treatments I've come across for your lips. June Jacobs is a specialty line of spa quality products. They make some fabulous products that include just about anything and everything you could ever need to keep your skin looking it's best, but they also have fabulous candles. But- this lip kit tops the list in my opinion. I absolutely hate chapped or flaky lips-and mine have a real tendency to get that way, especially in the winter! This three step kit is perfect!

This kit includes: A Lip scrub, A lip masque, and a lip renewal cream.

"Paraben and preservative free, this unique anti-aging lip treatment helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and improves lip contour in a three step process. Leaves lips instantly soft, smooth and protected.

Step 1: Lip Scrub This emollient sugar-based lip exfoliation treatment with nourishing oils and age-fighting anti-oxidants gently sweeps away dead skin cells leaving lips silky smooth. Directions: Apply to lips using a light circular motion and rinse off with warm water.
Step 2: Lip Masque This luxurious masque, enriched with soothing botanicals and age-fighting anti-oxidants, gently soothes, hydrates and protects the lips, leaving them ultra-smooth. Directions: Apply to lips and leave on for two to three minutes and rinse off with warm water.
Step 3: Lip Renewal A lip treatment infused with shea butter, grapefruit and vitamin E that provides instant and continual relief to dry, dehydrated, peeling lips, increases hydration and volume, and reduces the appearance of lip furrows. Revitalizing formula naturally enhances lip structure, improves contour, adds volume and defines the lipline. Active oligopeptide delivers fuller lips by naturally stimulating collagen production. "

The price is $60, which might seem a bit pricey but it lasts a long time and it works amazingly well. Visit June Jacobs for more information and browse around some of their other great products. Enjoy and thanks for reading!

The Subject of Evening Wear

Evening wear can be a difficult thing for some to shop for. Waiting until a month before a big event to find the perfect dress only seems to make the task ten times more difficult. Preparing for a formal event should be fun and exciting- never stressful or troublesome! You shouldn't have to settle for a dress that you just "kind-of" like. You should absolutely love it and feel incredible in it! My advice would be- if you're ever out shopping and find an incredible dress and have the means to get it, by all means, do! Even if you don't have an occasion to wear it at that moment- one will come up and you'll be prepared!

Here are some great formal dresses at different price points:

1) Carmen Marc Valvo Lace Gown. $1170, Neiman Marcus

2) Carmen Marc Valvo Couture Beaded Two-Toned Gown. $2970, Neiman Marcus

3) Adrianna Papell one Shoulder beaded Jersey Gown. $188, Nordstrom

4) Marc Bouwer Glamit! Draped Charm Gown. $695, Neiman Marcus

6) ABS One Shoulder Gown. $435, Saks Fifth Avenue

Sexy New Hair Ideas

I don't know about you ladies, but I'm always looking for new things to do with my hair. I can get bored really easily with my usual hair styles. Well, Fall and Winter are the perfect times to try some new styles out since you don't have to deal with humidity. These tips are meant to be quick, simple and versatile. Try some of these creative and pretty ideas:

1) A dressy ponytail, worn a little higher on the head with hair wrapped around the ponytail holder.

2) Floral accented or beaded headbands, worn with hair up or down, straight or curly.

3) Tuck long hair up and fold under and pin beneath hair to create a faux short bob, this look looks best when hair is wavy or curled to hide the tucking.

4) Try a wavy, low ponytail graped over one shoulder-this look can be worn casually or for a dressy event.

5) A low, loose chignon is always chic and beautiful and can be worn any occasion.

6) Create height by combing long bangs back and bobby pinning them to the top of your head, pushing the hair lightly forward to create volume.

The Shoes Every Woman Should Own

Surprisingly, this is a short list! I picked 5 must have shoe styles that I think women get the most use out of and make the most of one's wardrobe. That's not to say you can't have 10 pairs of each style because I don't know about you but I have a fairly large wardrobe of shoes! It's one of my shopping weaknesses, I suppose. Anyway, here are the must haves:-)

1) A Black or Brown Knee High Boot
-They look amazing for fall and winter, you can wear them with anything from skirts to jeans. Versatile, sexy, and very fashionable.

2) Ballet Flats
-These are always classy and there are so many beautiful styles and colors around now. There are endless options. I would say own at least one pair of good, neutral ballet flats and any other pairs can be fun and playful in a bold color or pattern.

3) Black Pumps
- Another classic! A pointed or round toe works, or even peep toe (It'd probably be best to own a peep toe pair as well as a closed toe pair for a little variety) depending upon your personal preference. Can be worn at any time and never ever go out of style.

4) A Dressy Shoe in a Metallic color
-Metallics are considered neutrals so you can wear them with anything and it adds a little more style to your attire.

5) A cute pair of Sneakers.
- Not athletic sneakers! Save the running shoes for working out! Try a cute pair that is fashion forward in pretty colors. They are comfortable and cute for a casual day out.

Then, there is that amazing shoe that we all dream of and will hopefully one day get our feet into! Maybe it's a pair of Manolo Blahniks or Christian Louboutins (Like the ones pictured above, available at Neiman Marcus. These would also work very well for the #3 on the list, the black pump.) These are not necessities to a wardrobe but they sure do enhance it! Keep that dream alive and maybe find your special, most wanted pair or pairs, and stick it up on and inspiration board!

2) Kate Spade Coat, $795
