Skinny Bitch Diet Review
Hi everyone! I hope you're all doing well! I'm sure by now you've all heard about the book "Skinny Bitch" by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. There has been a lot of hype surrounding it and it was a #1 New York Times Best seller.I decided to read it and give it a try.
Let me first say that the way the book is written is extremely humorous and straight forward. The authors don't pull any punches and while do feel some of their views may be a bit extreme but it's an entertaining book all the way through.
I am 1 week in right now and I have to say, it's been a lot easier than I was expecting! I feel pretty good physically. This diet is entirely Vegan and it's suggested to eat organic fruits and veggies. While it is more expensive to go out and buy organic, it is what you are putting into your body and you are most certainly worth it. I have no desire to be "Skinny" or a "Bitch" lol, but that's the Authors humor for you. They make a lot of good points and put out a lot of very interesting facts and scientific evidence. So I decided I would give it a month and try the 4 week menu plan they actually have in the book and so far so good! It's only been 4 days and I was mostly vegetarian before trying this (I only ate seafood). I haven't felt hungry or deprived at all and the food has been really delicious. I was expecting things to be really bland because I love cheese and things-but the substitutes have been great for me.
It's not something that's for everyone and but I thought I'd give it a try-I have a friend's wedding coming up and I could stand o lose a few pounds since I'm a bridesmaid! Haha, but It's definitely worth a shot and if you think going Vegan would be super difficult, I can say it's been a full week and I haven't had a single difficulty with it. The book does provide an enormous list of food that is acceptable to eat and does give you the 4 week menu plan so if you've ever been curious about going Vegan, this book would be a good one to pick up and give it a shot for a month:-) You can also adjust it to your own personal comfort level. If you're not comfortable going completely organic and vegan, just do what you want or what you can from the book. They have some good tips, health wise, even if you don't follow it to the letter:-)
I haven't weighed myself to see if I have lost any weight but I have noticed clothes fitting loser. I will keep you updated and let you know how thing are going for the next 4 weeks and any negatives or positives that arise. If anyone has any questions about this diet or any experiences with it, I'd love for you to share them with me by e-mail or below in the comments section!
