Black Label Pure Boar and Nylon Bristle Brush Review + Contest!

This medium sized oval boar and Nylon brush is made by Brush Lab. I've tried some boar's bristle brushes before and honestly, I was never a big fan of them. I have pretty thick hair and they never seemed to quite make it all the way through my hair. This brush is different. The Nylon bristles helps it penetrate even thick or coarse hair and it detangles beautifully! The boars hair bristles really smooths out the hair shaft and helps distribute the oils properly so it diminishes frizz. The boar bristles also helps add shine.

The style of this brush is great-the handle is easy to grip and maneuver so you can use it while styling your hair. The Nylon bristles are heat resistant which make this a great brush to use mid-way through blowing out your hair.

This brush collection is a great alternative to some of the more expensive boar bristle brushes. It gives great results and would be a good option for any hair type!

Lush Calavera Bath Bomb Review

In celebration of Halloween this year, Lush came out with a few Limited Edition "Day of the Dead" products. This colorful Calavera bath bomb is one of them. This particular bath bomb is pretty fragile and did chip a bit before I used it in the bath but that didn't stop it from doing it's job! This was so pretty in the tub- it created swirls of pink, orange and green. As it dissolved, it also released about half a dozen marigold petals into the water. The scent is a lovely blend of citrus and a hint of floral.

The Lime oil in this bath bomb makes it particularly refreshing to use and it left my skin feeling very clean without being dry. This would be a great bomb to use if you're feeling a little rundown as Lime oil is known for it's therapeutic benefits of being uplifting and rejuvenating- it can also help improve circulation. This probably wouldn't be one of my absolute favorite bath bombs (I have about a dozen of favorites!) Lush offers but it was a fun one to use and in no way was it a disappointment!

Description: Sadly, there isn't any tequila in this brightly coloured bomb but we were sure to fill it up with marigold petals and zesty lime oil to make your bath time festive! Celebrate the season with burst of citrus and massive swirls of oranges, pinks and greens to lift your spirits out of this world.

Dashing Diva Polishes

Dashing Diva has come out with some gorgeous nail polish shades that were featured on the catwalks of Fashion Week Spring 2011! The three colors I received to review are Pier 39, Greenpoint Grunge and No More Alimony (pictured above from left to right). All three of these shades are really beautiful and unique looking. The formula wears well and applies without difficulty. You may need three coats (especially with Pier 39) to make them look their absolute best but you can get away with two coats when applying No More Alimony and Greenpoint Grunge! The application was quite smooth and streak free with all three polishes.

Pier 39 screams Spring to me and it would be so cute used in a pedicure or manicure! It's a beautiful aqua-ish color-kind of like a slightly greener robin's egg blue is that makes any sense, LoL. The formula on this one seems to be a bit thinner than the others but it wore beautifully and lasted a full 6 days with a proper manicure.

Greenpoint Grunge is an absolutely stunning shade that is fabulous for Fall. It's a rich dark olive shade with golden-bronze shimmer. It's beautiful on and wears very well. This one did chip a little bit faster than Pier 39 but only minor chips that were easily touched up.

No More Alimony is like a warmer platinum shade. It's really pretty and eye catching. A great option for anyone who loves the look of metallic nails! (This shade was hard to get a picture of because it reflects so much light!) This shade wears well and lasts a nice long time when using a base coat and top coat.

Perfect Formula's Perfect Color Nail Lacquer in Deco

Perfect Formula has come out with a gorgeous range of colors for Fall/Winter 2010, 6 in total including beautiful grays, lavenders and teals! The one I was sent to review is called "Deco" which is this beautiful Berry color. It's a gorgeous mix of plum and pink, an absolutely gorgeous shade for fall!

I applied two coats of this polish and that gave a nicely opaque finish. I didn't use a base coat or a top coat on one hand (Which I highly recommend using whenever you do your nails, by the way, I just always like to see how polishes stand up without them!) and did use both a base and top coat on the other. I was pretty impressed that I didn't get a chip until the 5th day without a base or top coat. Perfect Formula's polish stands up really well on it's own and looks better and last longer with a properly done manicure (Base and Top Coats)- No chips and the color was true for a full 10 days for me on that hand.

I didn't have any problems with application-in fact, I am lazy when it comes to my nails and usually just whisk polish on as quickly as I can and clean it up the next day or two. This polish applied quite smoothly and didn't streak. I would definitely recommend taking a peak at their full color range HERE!!! (Avant Gray and Futurist look stunning!)

Price: $15
