Senna Cosmetics- Lip Lacquers

Boudoir: A light peachy pink color that tastes like vanilla. This goes on pretty sheer and gives lips a glossy, natural looking tint.

Moondance: A double ended gloss. One side is a shimmery rosey pink and the other is a silvery shimmer baby pink. Also vanilla flavored.

Both of these products have a nice consistency. They're not sticky, provide good color, a lot of moisture and actually last a long while. I noticed I really didn't need to reapply as often as I usually have to reapply most glosses I've used before. The colors are very wearable and these three would work well on a variety of different colorings. The colors have just the right amount of pigmentation-not too sheer, not too obvious. Definitely an impressive product and if your a fan of glosses, definitely worth checking out especially considering their longer lasting than a regular gloss.

Fall 2010 Trend: Gold

Gold isn't necessarily the easiest color to pull off and tends to look better on warmer skin tones. Some cooler skin tones can pull off gold and if you feel it's not complimenting your coloring, try some shots of gold in your accessories. There's plenty of choices like bags, shoes and even some jewelry so there's no need to avoid this trend if you're cool toned like me. That is, unless you just don't like it! Never wear a trend just because it's a trend. Wear it because you love it and it flatters you!

Lumixyl: Topical Brightening System

Hello again everyone! If I said it once, I've said it a hundred time: I am literally one of the palest humans alive. Well, I'd at least assume I am and would probably bet good money on it! One of the disadvantages to being pale is I burn easily in the sun, my skin tends to be a bit sensitive and I scar easily. So I've always had some unevenness in my skin tone do to some past sun burn and some old blemish scars from my youth. Well, Lumixyl is a a skin care system that claims to be non-toxic, non-irritating and improve the look of discoloration in the skin! Lumixyl uses a chain of ten amino acids instead of the more commonly known lightening agent hydroquinone.

I was sent the system to try out and in total, it's about an 8 week system. I've been using it for about 4 so far and have already gotten some results I'm very happy with! My main issue is some spots on my cheeks and some mild discoloration on my chin. The system comes complete with full instructions and directions that are pretty simple to follow. It includes 4 steps (Some that you don't do everyday, at least for the first week or two) which include:

1) Active Prep Cleanser- This is a gentle cleanser that preps the skin for the other steps:-)
2)Lumixyl Topical Brightening Creme- This creme is applied after cleansing and helps to brighten the skin tone and increase luminosity.
3)GlycoPeel 20 Rapid Exfoliating Lotion- This is a peel that is formulated to work with the brightening cream to diminish discoloration. It also improves the texture of the skin. This is not don't every day. For the first "level" in the system, you do it every other morning.
4) MoistureLock Sunscreen SPF 30- This protects your skin from further hyper pigmentation as well as keeping it moisturized.

I really found the system easy to use and it didn't irritate my skin at all. I have noticed major improvement in the appearance and feel of my skin only half way through the entire system with no negative side effect. Also, it has kept my skin clear- I haven't had any breakouts during the use of this system. In my opinion, Lumixyl definitely delivers!

Nick Chavez Ultra Shine Honey Peppermint Shampoo and Conditioner

I seem to be immediately drawn to things with honey as an ingredient. In food and in hair and bath and body products. That's why when I was sent these products to review I was pretty excited to try them out. I have to be honest and say I expected to like this shampoo and conditioner right off the bat and I wasn't disappointed.

The shampoo is gentle and doesn't strip the hair but it does clean very thoroughly. The conditioner did a really great job of moisturizing my hair without leaving it oily. In the summer my hair tends to get pretty oily at the roots and I usually have to wash it everyday but I was actually able to go every other day with the Nick Chavez Ultra Shine Honey Peppermint Shampoo and Conditioner duo. The scent was really light and pleasant but it still left my hair smelling fresh and clean for two days. It made my hair really shiny and soft.

I think this shampoo and conditioner would be good for most hair types. It really seemed to balance out my hair this summer and that's actually hard for me to find in a shampoo and conditioner.
