Get the Most From Your Favorite Fragrances

(Above Photo: Pretty by Elizabeth Arden. One of my personal favorite fragrances!)

Most women have a fragrance that they absolutely love and if we don't already have one, we're forever searching for that perfect scent! When we do find that fragrance that was practically made for us, an issue some of us have is how to make the scent last? Well, here are a few tips and tricks for all things fragrance!

Tip #1: If your friend has a great perfume, don't just assume it will smell as great on you. Always try before you buy! Fragrances always smell a little different on everyone so what may work for you won't necessarily work for your friend and vice versa. When shopping for that perfect perfume, just spritz one you like (preferably love!) on your wrists and neck, wear it around for a couple of hours. Still love it? Great!

Tip #2: When trying out fragrances, don't go overboard. Just try one or two on your skin, otherwise the scents will get muddled and you won't have a true sense of how each wears throughout the day.

Tip #3: So you have the perfect scent for you? Fantastic! Now the only problem you may run into is to make it last. The trick to having a long lasting perfume is to layer scents. Most popular perfumes also have a shower gel, lotion, or even shampoo in the same scent. Using them together may sound like it'd be overpowering but in truth, it just helps your favorite scent stick around all day.

Tip #4: Apply Perfume to your pulse points-neck, wrists, inside of your elbows, and behind your knees. The heat of your body will help diffuse the scent throughout the day. Spritzing the scent in the air and walking through it is a quick and easy way to smell great, although it might cut down the wear time of your perfume.

Tip #5: Get a roll-on or small version of your favorite scent to keep in your purse for touch ups on the go.

These tips will hopefully provide you with some little tidbits you didn't know and will hopefully be helpful for you in your quest to finding a great fragrance and make it last all day (or night;-) long.
